Description
Teraoka discusses becoming a replacement for the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, his assignment in Italy, witnessing a soldier’s death, and discusses his experiences during the Po Valley campaign. He then talks about the war ending while he was in Livorno and his assignment guarding German POWs. Next, Teraoka discusses returning back to Hawaii, getting discharged, and getting a job at Pearl Harbor. Lastly, Teraoka discusses his brother’s military service and incarceration at Tule Lake; and talks about his wife, children, and grandchildren.
