Description

Yano discusses moving to Ontario, Oregon because his Issei Father finds work as a farmer there. Yano plays sport and experiences racism in high school. After December 7, 1941 Yano's Mother is arrested and he visits her. He recalls the treatment of Japanese Americans in Ontario when Pearl Harbor is bombed. After high school graduation, Yano is inducted in the army and is sent to basic training.
