Description

Kashiki discusses his reasons for volunteering, talks about the leadership in his unit including discussing Colonel Pence and Lieutenant Earp; and discusses the formation of the Cannon Company. He also talks about his duties and training in the Cannon Company; discusses his first mission overseas and exchanging enemy fire with German soldiers; and talks about receiving letters from his wife while overseas. Next, Kashiki talks about the Lost Battalion rescue, Bruyeres liberation, and experiences in Monte Carlo including encounters with German spy soldiers. Lastly, Kashiki describes Army uniforms; and the relationship between 442nd and other units in the Army.
