Description

Yoshitake talks about his family's forced removal and having to leave belongings behind. He then talks about his experiences going to Santa Anita temporary detention facility and the living conditions there; discusses Executive Order 9066; and talks about the train ride from Santa Anita to Rohwer Concentration Camp. Next, Yoshitake discusses the loyalty questionnaire and his enemy alien classification; and talks about leaving Rohwer to attend school in Cleveland. Yoshitake also talks about his life in Ohio including discussing experiences with discrimination, going to the movies, and corresponding with his mother. Lastly, Yoshitake describes the living conditions at Rohwer, as well as the types of jobs available there.
