Description

Makino talks about getting injured while in combat and his hospital stay; tells a story regarding Colonel Pence; and discusses a heroic Hawaiian soldier. He then talks about his friends who were killed in action, discusses his combat experiences at Hill 140, talks about his uniform shoulder patches, and discusses his experiences at the Arno River. Next, Makino talks about corresponding with his family while overseas, and discusses combat medics. Lastly, Makino talks about soldiers who fought at Bruyeres, discusses the rescue of the Lost Battalion, and talks about Army food.
