Description

Yoshihara talks about combat experiences including firing against German soldiers; getting wounded and taken to the hospital; and guarding the France/Italy border. He then talks about encounters with Daniel Inouye; wartime friendships with other soldiers; corresponding with his family while overseas; selling cigarettes on the black market; his trip to Rome; and his best overseas experiences. Next, Yoshihara talks about taking classes at the University of Florence; serving with the 442nd medics; the Army point system; and returning to the United States and going to college. Lastly, Yoshihara talks about his experiences with discrimination, and attending a high school reunion where he received his high school diploma.
