Description

Yoshioka discusses his parents including his father’s occupation, and talks about his siblings. He then talks about working on a nursery growing up, and assisting with selling carnations at flower markets in Northern California. Yoshioka also discusses attending Japanese school, speaking Japanese at home, high school, his wife, thoughts about American citizenship, and how he got his nickname. Lastly, Yoshioka tells a story regarding a post-war encounter he had with someone he knew from the war.
