Description

Allan Okamoto recalls joining up with the 100th Infantry Battalion in Italy and their great reputation. He describes the chaos and confusion of his first combat experience and the casualty of one of his squad mates. He also goes over the rations, equipment, supply issues, and combat conditions during the Italian and French campaigns. Finally he shares how he missed the Bonzai Charge due to trench feet.
