Description

Ito describes treatment of Nisei soldiers while training in Florida and discusses his training in voice and radio intercepting, which saw his team transferred to the Yosemite Valley. After being shipped to Guam and later Saipan, Ito helped piece together information from various intercepted transmissions as well as interrogate captured Japanese soldiers. The video concludes with Ito offering his thoughts on the dropping of the atomic bomb and Japanese surrender, also talking about contact with his family throughout the war.
