Description
Ikuta talks about growing up in Colorado including discussing his father's Model T car; going to church; his childhood home and friendships; school; and his father's death. He then talks about moving to Japan with his family as a child, returning to the United States six years later and working on a sugar beet farm in Wyoming; and moving to Los Angeles after graduating high school. Next, Ikuta talks about his experiences being placed in protective custody in Louisiana after the Attack on Pearl Harbor; discusses his mother; talks about attending school in Japan and in Wyoming; and discusses playing sports including his involvement in a Japanese American baseball team.
