Description

Mr. Yabu discusses his enlisting into the United States Navy and traveling to San Diego to the naval recruit training center. He worked for a time in the San Diego Naval Hospital before befriending and eventually working for Robert Stewart MacDonald. Mr. Yabu discusses his friendship with MacDonald and the impact he had on Shigeru's life. Mr. Yabu also describes his work he conducted with venereal diseases at the 11th Naval District Headquarters. Mr. Yabu concludes the video by describing how he met his wife.
