Description

Saito discusses his childhood going up in the rural community of Oregon and his Issei parents. His Father works in the Farm Trucking business and Saito leaves Junior High School due to his Father's ailing health. Saito helps with the family business to help with the finances. He says life is difficult due to the Great Depression. He describes losing his childhood, child rearing and the hardship of Issei women.
