Description

Mr. Hayashi talks about his service throughout France, particularly in the Vosges Mountains region and some of the experiences he had during combat. Mr. Hayashi also describes some funny and memorable encounters including his being mistaken for an officer and his favorite was to prepare his K-rations. Mr. Hayashi concludes by discussing his time serving as a replacement scout and some of the challenges he faced holding that position.
