Description

Uchida recalls his childhood on Kawaii, first employments working in sugar cane fields, and eventual move to Honolulu at the age of 18 to live with his sister. There he found work at the Halekulani Hotel near Waikiki Beach where he remained an employee for 44 years. Uchida also discusses his favorite subjects in school, playing baseball and football, and reminisces about memorable fishing outings.
