Kim Ida Surh oral history interview, part 3 of 8, October 26, 2003
Surh begins by discussing her childhood in Los Angeles by recounting different childhood activities and memories. She also talks about a painful moment at Sunday school where she and her brother were excluded from a party by adults. She later elaborates about how deeply that event affected her ability to make friends and feel included as a child growing up. Surh also speaks about her father's desire for them to connect with their Korean roots before talking about her grandfather attempting to immigrate to America and her two aunts' experiences in America.
