Description

Shimo discusses the end of the war and his discharge from the Army. He later discusses the difficulties his parents had near the end of the war, especially his father, as he was an FBI suspect. After may hearings, his father was finally released and his parents reunited. Shimo was able to bring his parents back to Boyle Heights after about 10 years of them living in Japan after the war. He concludes by discussing his later career and retirement.
