He then talks about his childhood including discussing playing sports, friendships, neighbors, food, and experiences with discrimination. Next, Terasaki talks about values he learned from his parents, his knowledge of the Japanese language, school, and attending reunion community picnics. Lastly, Terasaki talks about his experiences during the attack on Pearl Harbor, discusses his thoughts regarding joining the Army, and his father's employment.
