Description

Kamiya discusses his life before the war as an orphan, with siblings, on a sugar plantation in Kekaha and as a young adult in Honolulu. He also gives an account of being drafted and his experience during the Pearl Harbor attack. In addition he discusses being on the ship Royal T. Frank when it got attacked in Hana, Camp McCoy, and Camp Shelby. He also talks about his deployment to North Africa.
