Description

Riess discusses his free time in Japan and how his time in Japan helped his future career path. Next, he talks about visiting Hiroshima and Nagasaki after the atomic bombs and how manufacturing in Japan took off after the war for companies like Honda and Toyota. After that, he speaks about the occupation in Japan and the ability to attend the war crimes trials while there. Following his time overseas in Japan, Riess would come back to the United States and use the GI Bill to get his business degree from Harvard and the day before his graduation he would wed his wife. Following college, he would force his way into Ford International where he would happily work for 17 years.
