Description

In this video clip, Yoshiaki Fujitani continues to talk about his time at McKinley High School. The teachers at McKinley made a positive impact on his life, even encouraged him to take public speaking classes. He describes his identification as a dual citizen and Japanese American. While he was attending McKinley High School, he also attended a Japanese language high school. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Hawaii. During his second year at the university, the bombing of Pearl Harbor took place on December 7th, 1941.
