Description

Otoshi discusses his high school activities such as his involvement in student government, swimming, and yearbook committee. He then talks about volunteering with the United States Engineering Department digging trenches for the defense system, as well as his assignment producing gas masks. Next, Otoshi talks about his participation in ROTC and assignment training 442nd replacement soldiers; his military language assignments in Japan as part of a repatriation program; and discusses the attack on Pearl Harbor. Lastly, Otoshi talks about his experiences at Fort Snelling, and his interrogation assignment in Maizuru, Japan.
